My bichon has cancer. I was sent to OAH when my own vet referred me during an emergency as Simbas pericardium was filled with fluid and he was near deat last month. Until then we had no clue he was sick. He was diagnosed at OAH with hemangiosarcoma. It is terminal. Both myself and Simba have conitnuosly been dealt with the best care. He has a cardiologist and an oncologist. Dr. Bailey the oncologist is both kind and knowlegeable. When I scheduled the appt with him, really feeling hopeless, he and two very nice staff members spent almost an hour with me talking about what Simbas options were. The exam room has bean bag chairs so you can sit on the floor with your pet. Dr Baily sat down with us and was so honest about Simbas chances and helped me deal with how I was feeling. Every time Simba has chemo he personally brings him out to me in the waiting room and we talk. The entire staff has been great both in person and on the phone.
