Review content:
Total Comfort Solutions came out to take a look at my AC unit which wasn't working well. They told me it was broken and then they charged me a couple hundred dollars for the visit. I didn't have the money for new AC unit. I'm sure that their price is comparable to other companies and it was completely out of my price range. I was hoping we could fix the one I had and they did tell me what it would cost to fix it as opposed to getting a new one. As is usually the case with something that old, they said it would be cheaper to fix it but that it might break again in a couple of years and then you're back at square one. I think it was a bit expensive for what they did, which was not much. The guys that I talked to who came out and looked at my AC unit, they were good people; they were professional, courteous, and I got along with them just fine. A lot of those guys I think were employees of Schaefer Refrigeration which was bought out by Total Comfort Solutions. I used to use Schaefer, but when I tried to call them the phone number took me to Total Comfort. I'm a general contractor and their salesperson was out on a job site with me once. I felt like he was leaning really hard on me to switch from the company I'd already settled on for that contract. It was a pretty hard sell which to me is kind of off-putting. Personally I like the technicians that work for them, they are totally professional, totally knowledgeable, and very capable, but as a company I think their sales technique is a bit over the top.
