I had a generally positive experience with Automotive excellence. They do very good service there. The staff is great. It's a father and son team and they are very helpful. My only complaint is they could maybe be a bit more competitive with pricing. I went in for one thing but realized in the process that it was going to cost a lot more than I thought. I hoped it might be about $200, but there were some other issues and it ended up costing more like $2000. I originally chose Automotive Excellence based off reviews I saw online. I picked them to see if the positive hype online was where it was at. After some more research I found out I could have had it done cheaper elsewhere, so that's why it wasn't the best experience I could have had. I should have done more shopping before.
I didn't get all my service needs taken care of there because I was able to find cheaper service elsewhere. The initial quote was really high for the actual items. I only wanted to commit to giving them some work because of the time they took doing their diagnostic. I don't think they were being disingenuous or anything. Like I said their service is very good, but I saved some money by having some of the service done elsewhere.
So, all in all I'd say they're a great business and do good work, but if you're looking to save some money you might want to shop around. I'm a firm believer that saving money doesn't always mean you will get a better service. Trust your gut, go down there and meet them first and see if they are the ones for you.
