Our experience with this company has been less than favorable. A representative came to our house and told us the only way to save money would be to change from Charter Communications to Direct TV for cable services. We were told that the services had greatly improved over the years and gone were the days of the cable going out when there were storms. He stated that we would probably have outages totaling about a week each year. We had the system installed on a Wednesday and less than 8 hours later the cable went out.
The technician came out and replaced a part and the system worked good for about three days. Since that time our cable has gone out more than Charter did in the 15+ years we had their services. When it went out the second time I sent an email to the representative asking that he contact me via phone the following day to discuss the issues we were having and what could be done to resolve the issues. I received a response to my email, never a phone call, with additional excuses as to why it went out again. This email never provided any resolution to my concerns.
When I received my first bill I found out that we are now stuck with this less than acceptable service for two years otherwise we will be charged extra fees. We were never told that we would have to stay with Direct TV for two years when we agreed to change our carrier.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. The customer service provided to date has been unacceptable and I should have listened to my gut when it was telling me to run the other way as fast as possible.
I rated as one star as zero was not an option.
