RHC has a 60++ y/o spin instructor who needs, now get this, 2 spotlights directed on him, 4 wall sconces at his back; 14 recessed lights the length of the studio, 4-six foot long windows at his front bringing in ambient parking lot light; 4-six foot windows to his back beaming in very large upturned halogen lights from the pool (not to mention light from right/left from cardio and weight areas) and he stills need to turn on 4-large industrial fluorescent lights (w/4 long tubes in each) that give off tremendous heat! No where to move to avoid heat from those lights. BTW, guess those industrial lights were installed when club built back in the 70's. Now how much light does an instructor need to teach a spin class? What's there to see? Don't believe their lies that "its' your class." We pay to go there but instructor doesn't make experience comfortable. And RHC is supposedly "Going Green in 2016!" "riversidehealthclub We have always sought out opportunities to look out for our planet [...]." Hey RHC...do the planet a favor, cut down on the spin studio lights or get an instructor who can see. My understanding is that is why recessed lights and sconces were installed in the first place, to avoid using inefficient, bright fluorescent, and to give good ambiance of spin class noted in Mossa Group Ride video. RHC also allows instructors to teach classes using another's copyrighted music but not having permission to use that copyrighted music, e.g. using Insanity music for classes that are not Insanity classes. Lady complained about that on RHC's F/B page earlier. RHC doesn't care if they infringe another's copyrighted protected work. No moral compass, they don't care, just get them to join to make money, Insanity workout was created by an American, an ex-Marine who worked hard developing his brand. Guess they don't care stealing from that Insanity creator, guess its their way of making more "Green in 2016." Encourage the YMCA in building their new facility!! Don't go to that RHC dive.
