I am 23 and pregnant with my first child. I first saw Dr. Westerband at Healthy Beginnings (a pregnancy outreach clinic, where she works once a week for half the day), because of insurance complications. I was eager to get care prenatal care or even just information as soon as I found out I was pregnant because of several complicated health issues I struggle with. From my initial appointment there, to subsequent appointments at her Orange Grove office, both my husband and I were very displeased with the way we were treated and the lack of respect, politeness and common courtesy we were shown. Dr. Westerband was cold, preoccupied, and short with me. She was dismissive of my concerns without even validated the seriousness of the issues I was facing during my pregnancy and the very real potential impact it could have on my unborn child. She also declined to inform me of the seriousness of the potential effect a medication I had been on prior to pregnancy, (a category D or X depending on t
