We would never hire Harvey W Hottel again, or recommend Hottel. When we were deciding which company to hire to install the forced air HVAC system in our brand new house, which was under construction, Mark Hottel, one of the owners, was attentive and enthusiastic. He assured us that we would love Hottel?s forced air system because, he said, the system would be quiet, even and comfortable. But his attentiveness and enthusiasm changed when we moved into the new house and started telling Hottel that we had problems: parts of the house were unbearably stuffy or too cold or too hot. We called Mark Hottel over and over again for months without his responding. When he finally returned our calls and inspected the house, Hottel agreed there was a problem, but refused to take responsibility. In his view, everybody but Hottel was to blame -- our builder, an energy conservation specialist we had hired, us.
