Black Lotus surprised me the first time I saw it. It's not just a small place that gives you tattoos and piercings; it's a place with character, a place where everyone actually cares about how you are feeling, whether you are nervous or scared. When I arrived to the Black Lotus parlor, I had planned to get my belly button pierced. But when I stepped out of my car, a chill of fear ran down my spine. I walked into the parlor, and I was immediately having thoughts of backing out, though I had wanted the piercing for a long time. As I was having my thoughts of backing out, Joe greeted my friend and I. I explained to him what my fears were, and he reassured me that everything would be okay, but that it was my choice whether or not I really wanted to get the piercing. As he led me to the piercing room, I asked if my friend could come with us, and Joe allowed it. Having my friend come with was a big relief. The place was very clean, and everyone was helpful. Overall, the whole experience was very relaxing once I was greeted by Joe. I have no regrets!!
