Review content:
Pros:
After being solicited by a Home Depot employee regarding our air conditioners, one of which needed to be replaced, we were visited by Ted Steinbrecher from ARS. He was helpful in explaining to us the options for replacing one or both systems.
When we wanted a few days to make a decision about the purchase he didn't over-pressure us to decide in the moment, which we appreciated.
Ultimately, we feel that we got a fair price for the job.
Cons:
Ted misinformed us about part of our system, which necessitated additional negotiation and another installation visit to rectify. More frustrating, it took weeks of repeated follow-up on our part to get ARS to schedule that short appointment to finish the job. We were very unimpressed that once they had our money ARS seemed to lose all interest in responding to us or completing the job.
The installers left many small screws in various locations (floor and elsewhere) in both the utility room and in the adjoining room of the house. We found these painfully with our feet, but were fortunate that our young children didn't find them first.
The installers didn't give us an explanation of how to use the equipment.
