Businiess name:  Modern Stamped Concrete, Inc.

0 Stars. My family had the same experience as the guest who commented in August of 2015. After the first year, our stamped concrete around our pool started to crack and chip all over the place. After several unreturned phone calls, we had one of the gentleman back to address the issue early on. He told us that it was "our fault" like the other customer and that we either hadn't sealed it or were using rock salt. I don't think so! We should only have to reseal it every two to three years — not every year as they like to say — and it should have been sealed when they originally did the project. In addition, we never used rock salt around the pool. Another contractor looked at it and he said that it happened because the concrete wasn't cured correctly and that it wasn't the best job he'd seen. Further research proved that what we were experiencing was "spalling" due to either a poor cement mix or finishing. I don't care that they were nice or came in at the lowest price which should have been a big red flag to begin with, this company and the two guys that did the job left us with an eyesore that can only be fixed by digging it up and replacing the whole thing. It continues to get worse with each passing year. My biggest regret is that my husband and I didn't take them to small claims court when the problem first occurred, and they placed the onus on us. Unfortunately, our job is past the statute of limitations. I'm sure some people have had great success with this company as some of these reviews seem to say (lucky them); but unfortunately for us, we are left with a mess. My advice: choose another company for your job because you may be gambling with the outcome!
