Review content:
About a year ago I passed out at work. I was on my period and I bleed heavily, so it's very likely I got light-headed from blood loss, as well as the severe cramps. I'm familiar with these symptoms, I have a problematic period and it's common for me to get too weak to stand. I went to American Family Care in Gardendale for pain killer, not because I passed out. So I filled out the form, explaining that I had severe cramps and that I had passed out. I waited maybe an hour before I was called and by then the cramps had gone away all on their own. When I saw the doctor I didn't go into as much detail as I should have because I expected him to have read my chart. Not so. He told me I should see a specialist about my heart (I was 19 at the time, by the way), thinking that was what caused me to pass out, when obviously it was because I have menstrual problems. I never went to a specialist, and I've yet to have any problems with my heart. So basically I paid to suffer in a public waiting room
