Best Buy had run an advertisement for a special edition Alice in Wonderland release with free gift at 12:01 am. The website said the Tracy store was participating. Calling the Reward Zone said the store was participating. Calling the store directly an employee said the store was participating. I arranged and paid for a babysitter. I drove 40 miles (each way, 80 mile round trip). I accepted the fact that staying up late would reduce my sleep prior to working at 8 am that morning. Several other people were in the parking lot, but no employees. The store never opened and I left empty handed, out money for babysitter I didn't need, out money for gas, I didn't need to expend, and out sleep I require for my following day activities. I am very disappointed with this particular store and inept manager.
