Review content:
I enjoy shopping at Michael's for craft supplies, but their framing department leaves alot to be desired. The "certified framer" degrees hanging on the wall are merely the result of 2 weeks of training at a Michael's facility, and they are trying to pass it off as a Certified Picture Framer certificate, which is an entirely different degree. The department is often run by stockers and members of other departments who know nothing about picture framing. Expect a minimum turnaround of 2 weeks, and another 2 weeks if there are any defects that need to be repaired. Prices are ridiculously expensive, you can find a better price in town even *with* their frequent 50% off coupon. Go to Michael's for craft needs, but for picture framing, go to people who know what they are doing.
PROS: wide selection of craft supplies, decent prices
CONS: very poor framing service
