Michael's Arts & Crafts

I used to love Michaels Arts and Crafts, but I think it's time they changed their name to Michaels Crafts. The art department used to be so huge, and they had a large assortment of every art supply you'd ever need, but now you'd have a hard time finding a brush that wasn't made of Camel hair. For the inexperienced or new artists out there, it's an acceptable place to shop until you find a store that carries quality art supplies. You'll eventually learn the difference between a sable brush and a camel hair brush, or a good airbrush versus that no-name disposable on sale at Michaels. more

This place has all your arts and crafts supplies. I wish the framing department was quicker in getting mats cut (can take up to 2 weeks). \r \r This is a great place for puzzles, scrapbooking supplies, nitting, painting, and any other hoby you may have. more

I love just cruising the isles. I get so many ideas. I love the wide variety of items. Even my kids like to shop here. I also like that they have the most up to date items and information on the newest craft ideas. PROS: Lots of great stuff CONS: Hard to find someone to talk to. more

this is an awesome store if you love to do crafts. You can find everything you need in one place. They also have ideas for crafts that you can do yourself. I bought all the supplies here to make the center pieces for the tables at my wedding. more

I enjoy shopping at Michael's for craft supplies, but their framing department leaves alot to be desired. The "certified framer" degrees hanging on the wall are merely the result of 2 weeks of training at a Michael's facility, and they are trying to pass it off as a Certified Picture Framer certificate, which is an entirely different degree. The department is often run by stockers and members of other departments who know nothing about picture framing. Expect a minimum turnaround of 2 weeks, and another 2 weeks if there are any defects that need to be repaired. Prices are ridiculously expensive, you can find a better price in town even *with* their frequent 50% off coupon. Go to Michael's for craft needs, but for picture framing, go to people who know what they are doing. PROS: wide selection of craft supplies, decent prices CONS: very poor framing service more

I loved my visit to Michael's Art's & Crafts, they helped me with everything I needed and even set up a class just for me, it was great. The class my mother and I have been wanting to take is now available. I really appriecate the staff at Michael's. They are Great. Good job!! more

I've been very impressed with the way this location has begun to offer classes, nearly every day. It' s a great way to get people into the store, and it's nice to have something to do for people who want to craft. The store is very nice and has a large selection. Of course, it also helps that they are always running sales. Good marketing campaign. more
