Worst experience with a contractor ever. The owner felt he should be paid the final payment before the job was complete. I had sent him an email with a list of things still needing to be done several weeks earlier. I started emailing his office because he wouldn't answer his phone or return calls. Less than 24 hours after HE decided it was complete, I got a very ignorant voicemail threatening a lawyer if I didn't pay by the next day. In a return call to him, one of the few times I was actually able to get in touch with him, he was very rude and didn't care that I wasn't satisfied. He changed his lawyer threat to the end of the day and hung up on me. \r
The addition is done. Some of it wasn't done properly and even after redoing isn't right. The project drug on way longer than it should have, even with bad weather which is his go to excuse. Communication between the owner and the workers on site was lacking. Several times we had to remind them of what we wanted. We finished the back- filling of the sidewalk and the driveway ourselves. The owner said he would come back to fix things but needed his final payment first. After the way he treated us, he is not welcome here which makes his warranty worthless.
