Review content:
I had an interesting/mostly-positive experience this morning as my kitty became the newest patient at Thomasville Veterinarian Hospital. I was given the recommendation from a family member who has lived in Thomasville for years (20+) and by the numerous reviews I've read online. I took a chance and I was pleased with most of what I saw and how I was treated. That being said, there are three things I would like to see changed before I return. 1) The front office staff, while generally very helpful and considerate (Thank you, Misty!), did have a bit of a personality conflict. It seemed to be localized to one individual and that is unfortunate because it brings the entire professional vibe of customer service down. It could have been a low-blood sugar issue, but if a client notices, there is an issue to address. Also, when billing, make sure that where the line item for check number is requested, you actual use the check number and not the amount. That's just confusing for the Accountant and the client. 2) I was told at the time of my appointment that I would be allowed to stay with my pet. That was half-correct. During the fecal and CBC panel, I was left waiting in an examination room. I wish someone would have spoken to me sooner as I was waiting. But, that is my personal preference. I was, however, present for the wellness exam and was offered a thorough explanation of how to make the life of my kitty better. So, Thank you Dr. Cecil for taking the time and seeing that my questions were answered. It was very professional of you and much appreciated. 3) The general look about the lobby and exam rooms leads me to believe that this is more of a 'doggie' place than a 'kitty' place. I realize that cat people are finicky by nature but when I can hear gossip taking place outside the exam door or throughout the lobby while I am waiting patiently, I wonder about who's watching over my animal. Also, I expect a higher-level of sanitation. Although, it could have been much worse...it can always smell and look better! (There was puke in the parking lot I had to step over when I got out of my car...ew!) So, where I would have rated my experience a 3 stars, I opted for 4, given that Dr. Cecil was exceptional! If only the whole staff had that level of care at their heart's center. This could really be an exceptional practice. Thank you Dr. Millerin for being available to help out with the blood draw! I know your gentle touch calmed a skittish kitty at a stressful time. Arty is happy to be home and I am happy she is healthy and safe! Best Regards, Jennifer
