Review content:
This is my first year at Anita's Dance Center and it has been a wonderful experience. My daughter has been dancing for 11+ years. We have done park/rec classes, Poms teams, other studios, dance conventions, dance camps and this very large studio has been a great addition to my daughter dance education. It is a very large studio which differs greatly from smaller studio experiences.
They do billing on paper as the complaint states although I do not see that as a problem in any way, it is there choice. When I questioned a charge it was handled promptly, professionally and I was given the "benefit of the doubt" treated with respect regarding the issue. If you are interested in performance or competition teams billing can get more confusing, which has been the case at every team I have been involved in. Overall I found my cost significantly less than at other studios and once I understood the system for billing everything was fine, for a highly competitive dancer
Regarding "children" teaching, they are very skills dancers that are supervised by adults for the beginning level classes, they first work as assistants then may be offered teaching position if they meet the criteria necessary. They are typically students who have danced over 10 years and often have valuable insight , skills and knowledge for students. They act as mentors and are mature, professional and an asset to the studio. If you don't want a young adult to teach your child I would mention that when you sign up for classes. I recommend trying it before you decide it isn't right. Young adults mentoring young children is a positive. Most studios offer teaching assistant positions to older dancers as a form of learning for the advanced dancer, it is common practice in all studios I have been involved in.
This is a very large studio yet Anita is very involved and knows her students. The large studio offers more opportunities to dancers who love to perform but may not be ready for a competition team.
I highly recommend ANITA'S DANCE CENTER
