I have had two transactions with Fred Remmers Rug Cleaners & Oriental Rug Gallery. The first time I brought a carpet to them, I got it from a garage sale and it had an enormous spot on it. They cleaned the carpet, but when they returned it to me it still had the same spot! It was an okay clean overall though, and I took care of the spot with a little bit of stain remover. In short, it wasn't the most thorough clean but the encounter didn't necessarily merit as bad of numbers as I have given them.
Our second encounter was when they earned their ones and twos. I brought in a runner from my front entryway and they quoted me a price. I agreed to the price, but when I came back to pick it up, the cost was much higher. They made some sort of mistake when giving me a quote. They didn't handle the follow up very well. The owner of the company actually contacted me and told me that (as a repeat customer) I should have already known that the price was too low. Being told that I should have known was not what I wanted to hear. They might be able to clean carpets fairly well, but the company is badly run.
