Dr. Monica Revel is practicing here a few days each week, and she is FANTASTIC! A lovely, intelligent, and caring Vet and HUMANE being. A Davis educated Vet, and in the Vet world that is like going to John's Hopkins or Georgetown. If you can see her, come here, or if it is an emergency ask if she is on that day. It is West Hollywood, so depending on who is on the front desk, be prepared for West Hollywood prices and attitude. I have found that if I come in and there is someone who knows me I get better service than if it is someone I do not know. I have found that Nicole and Steve are real sweeties, but you have to treat people civilly. Remember they are people too, and they see the most stressful and distressful things day in and day out. The staff I know are animal lovers. Yes, one knows in an emergency that people act without thinking, but if you can be nice, they will treat you well. Perhaps it is because I am a long time client, but when my kitty was dying last year of FIP and he was having seizures, they whisked me right in a room, and everyone was so caring and sweet during his death and during the aftermath of his death. Albeit, everyone knew my kitty and loved him there. The waiting room was PACKED that day and I waited all of two minutes for a room. Perhaps it depends on who is on that day or night, or just the chemistry of the situation. However, I will say that before we followed Dr. Revel here from VCA Bev Hills, we avoided this hospital because of a bad experience here from years before. The ONLY reason we come here is because Dr. Revel is here, if she moves, we move with her. If I won the Mega Millions tomorrow I would build her a Veterinary Hospital all for herself. I would also suggest that all pet owners to do what I do, either get a basic emergency pet insurance through the Humane Society, a CareCredit card for vet bills, or put aside a minimum of 5K for pet emergencies, because veterinary care is expensive and they want to be paid up front. However, so do my human doctors. I am so sorry for the people who had bad experiences, but as I said, if you can get Dr. Revel, go here, if not, well I'd think of going elsewhere. On a side note, if you are there for a routine exam, you sometimes see the most interesting people in the waiting room, and it is neat to see what kind of pets they have. Pros: Dr. Monica Revel, Nicole, Steve & celebrity sightings Cons: It can be expensive, and you need to be civil to the staff
