I rented a car from this company last week and the experience was wonderful. As a small business owner and as someone who grew up in a family business, I understand that "bigger" does not necessarily mean "better". In their case, this statement certainly rings true. Because they are somewhat smaller and family owned, they treated me like an actual person as the customer service was probably the greatest I've ever received, especially in the car industry. Also, I put a deposit down on the vehicle before renting. The representative quoted me 1000 free miles, but listed 500 on the contract. It was indeed suppose to only be 500, but because she accidentally said 1000, they reimbursed me the correct amount without even blinking an eye. This company not only offers top notch customer service, they're also honest. With that said, all consumers should definitely be doing business with Empire Rent A Car. I'm from Long Island and would travel the extra miles now the next time I need a rental or the next time I'm going to purchase a vehicle because of the way I was treated and because they are trust worthy.
