These folks are crooks!
Initially, M., the owner said that she would accept the amount of rent that HUD allowed.
Later she insisted that we pay for any electric exceeding $100.00 under the table.
When our garbage disposal failed and leaked into the downstairs apartment; We had to pay for all the damages.
After the year lease ran out and we were put on month to month; they raised the rent and kept on adding additional charges to the point that we could no longer afford to live there.
We got only $20.00 back from our ~$1400.00 deposit.
Rather than clean the ceiling fans and blinds; they replace them and charge you Twice Retail for them.
They would not allow us to paint the apartment even though my son is a professional painter.
Again; we were charged for this even though there was Zero damage to the walls and ceiling!
It is obvious that the whole place is set up for curb appeal with the ultimate goal of a high turn-over rate in which they profit more by keeping your deposit.
What especially irks me is that they pray on low income/HUD people knowing that they are afraid to lose there HUD and do not have the means to fight back.
