Review content:
I have posted my story on other sites (See Yelp reviews as the reviews controlled by AllState Van Lines all give 4 or 5 stars, which is highly inaccurate) so I will keep this brief. Terrible experience from start to finish. The company is a broker, so understand that they make promises and then hire contract companies to move you and those promises are not kept. They will tell you that you are being moved by a Semi-truck. When the movers show up late, they will be in a Uhaul that is half full. They say they will cover every piece of furniture, that is a lie. They say they hire professionals, yet the "professionals" that came to move me did not have tools or a system in place to keep parts for furniture that they disassemble. My movers had to go and rent another Uhaul and decided it would be appropriate to leave my things in my driveway, unattended. My movers tried to steal the $1700 cash that they demand as a deposit up front. They say they will arrive on Saturday and then will have no communication with you until Monday afternoon (by that time you are ready to call the cops). They will finally show up and you will be disgusted when you see the damage they have caused. My list included a destroyed King Sized bed, my mattress was never wrapped, EVERY piece of furniture I own has scratches on it. I work from home and my desk was completely destroyed. The movers fought with each other so it got to a point where one of them just sat around and didn't work. What was the resolution? All State Van Lines offered me $224 and a Confidentiality Agreement to keep my mouth shut. Obviously, I took neither. Do yourself a favor and choose a reputable company that cares about their customers.
