After moving to the Wausau area a few years ago, I started taking my cats to a clinic near my home, but was absolutely floored one day when the estimate to have one cat's teeth cleaned came to nearly $400! Having worked as a veterinary assistant myself in the past, I knew that this was absolutely ridiculous, so I decided to search elsewhere for animal care. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Zegar at Wausau Animal Hospital to care for my aging cats. She is thorough and informative and has experience in geriatric cat care. She also didn't try to push any treatment plans, but instead offered possible options. I decided to get an estimate for a dental cleaning from this clinic and it was about HALF what the other clinic was charging. I appreciate not being pressured into unnecessary treatment plans, and I REALLY appreciate not being overcharged. This is now my veterinary clinic for all pets current and future!
