We have never been so disappointed in our vet care as when we took our dog into Merrick this weekend. We used to see Dr. Weiser there, who was wonderful, but who sadly has retired. So we started seeing Dr. Murnighan. Our dog became sick this weekend and when I saw blood in his stool I immediately called Merrick. Of course we had no appointment, but they said bring him in right away, that they were booked, but they would see him but we would have to wait til they could sqeeze him. And since Dr. Murnighan was off that day we would have to be seen by another vet as a new patient. Fine. So we rush and get there at 9:30. The waiting room was like grand central station and from talking with some of the other people there, they apparently overbooked. Some people just left before seeing the vet. But we waited, and waited and watched other "emergencies" be called ahead of us, for dogs that had come well after us who also had no appointments.
