I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Bowes for a few years now. Having had dogs for decades and been through four vets now (Berwyn VCA, Blum downtown, Boone in Western Springs), I can say unequivocally that every encounter I've had at Merrick has surpassed the other places I've been to. As a whole, the Drs. and staff have been professional and compassionate. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for an appointment. There has never been more than two others in the waiting area with me when I've gone. When I've called for an appointment and the symptom my dog is having seems strange or urgent, they do not hesitate to get me in right away. They remember me and my dog's history without me having to remind them. I highly recommend Merrick and don't agree with the negative comments posted here.
