I worked in the eyeglass industry for many years and know the ins and outs of sales. I found a pair of glasses I liked in the mall but didn't purchase because they didn't accept my insurance. So I went to central Nassau optical already knowing the ballpark price of the frame and when she got all my info and started pricing she jacked up the of the frame by $120 from $379 to $499. So basically my insurance covered nothing. Since I used to work in the industry I am aware of how they get paid through the insurance companies. So basically they are double dipping. So disappointing.
