Green Valley Animal Hospital (GVAH) had kind staff for our first visit and seemed very involved with our new German Shepherd puppy. \r

However, the vet ordered $125 worth of x-rays for a possible orthopedic issue on a 9 week old puppy. On a follow up visit, he tried to tell us that the puppies two back knees were blown out and wanted to put us in contact with an orthopedic surgeon (at this time the puppy was 12 weeks old). \r

After calling our breeder in a panic that the dog she gave us was in poor health and doing research on our own, we discovered that the GSD's have a unique anatomy as a puppy in the fact that their bones seem unusual for an animal it's size. They have large bodies that they need to grow into. As a veterinarian, the doctor should have also known this and not jumped to conclusions that the dog had blown its knees - especially when mobility was not an issue.\r
