I been taking my 2 cats (now unfortunately just one) to Green Valley Animal Hospital for 6 years and the services and care has been wonderful!! Dr. Hampton and all the staff have been so kind to me during my recent loss of my beloved cat Bumper due to cancer. Through their great professional care and advice, we were able to have him with us and enjoy him for 2 1/2 more years. We are very grateful for this. more

Simply the BEST! 5/18/2011

my daughter has an almost 3 year old Maltipoo. She has chronic stomach and GI problems (IBD, Pancreatitis, food allergies, etc.) We have had Green valley animal hospital?s newest vet, Dr.Roark examine her for the past few times and he has been remarkable with her! He has helped us to treat everything from anxiety in the car, to some of her biggest Stomach problems! He spoke with us for about an hour about all of her illnesses and his plan for her future. He spoke with us in great detail of exactly what he thought was wrong with her internally and how we could fix it. He recommended doing an exploratory surgery on her and sending out multiple biopsies of different organs to pin-point exactly where the problem was coming from. We asked him before we did the surgery all of our questions and he answered them as to what he would do if she was his dog. She had the exploratory surgery in January of this year and has been doing GREAT ever since! All the biopsies came back good, He was able t more

AMAZING Vet!! Great service! 5/17/2011

I recently went to Green Valley Animal Hospital for my new Puppy?s 1st exam, Overall I was VERY pleased with the service I received from Dr. Hampton and all of the staff! The care my puppy and I received was REMARKABLE. They let me know that they were very concerned about my puppy's future were interested in getting her ready for when she is older. They told me just about everything I need to know about training, and other recommendations they had for her. I would definitely go back to this vet and would recommend them for ANYONE! Dr. Hampton is truly amazing...she goes above and beyond all expectations I ever had, she is very kind and reasonable and I am looking forward to my next appointment with her!! Thank you! more

Honest vet hospital 2/27/2011

I was very pleased with the service my dog and I received at GVAH. I went in for a routine checkup/shots for my dog, and the staff and vet were extremely courteous and caring. Even better, they were honest and told me that my dog did not need his teeth cleaned, which is a super expensive procedure. This is notable because the previous vet I had been to had been telling me for years that my dog's teeth needed to be cleaned, even though they looked good and he did not have bad breath. So I was really happy to find an honest vet hospital to use from now on! more

Nothing short of AWESOME! 2/15/2011

In addition to being a foster home for a canine rescue organization, I have 2 Golden Retrievers and 2 cats. For many years I've averaged 6 to 8 foster dogs a year and each foster means at least one visit to GVAH prior to placing the dog w/its Forever Family. Sometimes the dog needs nothing more than vaccinations and other times they require more attention. My foster dogs receive the same attention, thorough care and follow-up that my own pets receive. If treatment is recommended I'm full of questions and they are always answered to my satisfaction and, most importantly, in terms I understand. Dr. Page is an exceptional vet who is patient and caring - to the 2 legged as well as the 4 legged clients. For example, several years ago my Goldens suffered from repeat ear infections. Dr. Page treated the symptoms and suggested I change their food as Goldens can be prone to allergies. I thanked her, paid the bill and didn't change the food. I also returned w/them the following month. more

Nicholas' first visit 1/9/2011

Nicholas and I came in for our first visit yesterday. My cat Nicholas was recently diagnosed as being in the early stages of renal failure and recommended to start iv fluid treatments. My general vet care is in Fair Oaks at Pender, I was given Dr. Roark's name (highly recommended by one of the Pender vets) and the Green Valley Hospital as a closer vet to take Nicholas for his fluid treatments (this would prevent me from the hour and a half drive each direction from Frederick to Fair Oak's each weekend) . We were both treated very nicely and are looking forward to out next visit. more

WOW! Vets, Grooming, Boarding and a Lovely Staff... 10/20/2010

When I moved to the area my worst fear was having to find a new vet to care for my pets that would impact their lives as much as their old vet. I think Green Valley has easily passed that mark. My 1st visit was wonderful and I felt very welcomed...the techs were very slow and caring of my shy pets and boy do they know how to do WONDERFUL nail trims! \r \r I found out that they also do grooming and boarding, two options I will definately use especially because that is too easy to do everything while I could be away and then when I get back they would be all groomed, up to date and have had a hotel stay right under the safety of their own vet's! Sounds too good to be true!!! \r \r How are their groomings? I hear they are great and that pets get hair cuts based on what style you want but then adjusted to best fit each different pet's make? Can't wait to have my Keeshound groomed before winter! more

Personable, Caring and Dedicated Doctors 10/15/2010

Dr. Page and all of the staff at Green Valley Animal Hospital have been a blessing to myself and most of all to all of my pets! I had 2 of my male cats suffer from urinary blockage a year apart from each other and Dr. Page performed a "PU" surgery on each of them so perfectly they love using the litter box now :) The staff was soo caring about keeping me updated and also letting me visit my kitties anytime while they were recovering in the hospital for 2 days. They have healed beautifully and in 2 1/2 years they have not been back to see the doctors at Green Valley for anything except their annual stuff! I will forever hold trust in their vets and look forward to each personable visit for each of my pets in the future! Thank you sooo much Green Valley! more

GV "Care" of our Animal 8/16/2010

Please do not go to this vet. They will do anything to keep your animal alive - even if it is suffereing - so that they can run a battery of tests to get your money. The doctor we saw would never give us an honest, straight answer regarding our cat and even if she had seen him a week and a half earlier, wanted to see him again. If I hadn't have been so careful and searched the internet for the drugs my animal was on, I would have put him on a lethal combination of what the doctor prescribed. Please, please, do yourself and your animal a favour. If you want good care, drive the extra distance to get it. We'd all like to keep our animals for as long as possible but not when they are suffereing. We all deserve a vet who cares as much as we do and knows when to say when. more

Green Valley Animal Hospital is GREAT 9/27/2009

I just love this place. My doberman had a spleen tumor and it had to be removed. Dr. Page helped me make the decision and she was so caring. I'm so glad she did. My dogs tumor was benign and now I will have my dog much longer and he is feeling great. Thanks to everyone for being so caring and professional. J. F. more

Very caring 8/4/2009

I came to Green Valley AH after being dissatisfied with a different vet. The techs and staff are always helpful and caring, and handle my little cat tenderly, even though she becomes a tiger when she is there. We always see Dr. Hampton. One of my cats is 13 years old with kidney and other issues. Dr. Hampton always lets me know what treatment options are and does not pressure me into making choices which I feel are not in the best interest for my pets. She is kind, caring, and obviously loves all the pets she takes care of. I recommend this vet to anyone. more

Green Valley Animal Hospital is caring! 8/4/2009

I recently went to Green Valley Animal Hospital with my cat who is awful at the vet. Even though Cleo is quite a handful they were gentle and worked with her. It was really nice to see people that care even in the face of an angry cat. The doctor I saw really took the time to talk to me about a couple of issues and the assistant in the room had a lot of knowledge as well. I was really impressed. I will definitely go back! more

Be cautious... 5/3/2009

Green Valley Animal Hospital (GVAH) had kind staff for our first visit and seemed very involved with our new German Shepherd puppy. \r \r However, the vet ordered $125 worth of x-rays for a possible orthopedic issue on a 9 week old puppy. On a follow up visit, he tried to tell us that the puppies two back knees were blown out and wanted to put us in contact with an orthopedic surgeon (at this time the puppy was 12 weeks old). \r \r After calling our breeder in a panic that the dog she gave us was in poor health and doing research on our own, we discovered that the GSD's have a unique anatomy as a puppy in the fact that their bones seem unusual for an animal it's size. They have large bodies that they need to grow into. As a veterinarian, the doctor should have also known this and not jumped to conclusions that the dog had blown its knees - especially when mobility was not an issue.\r \r We also asked to speak with the vet about a few of the shots they were vaccinating our puppy with. They ca more

The Best 11/12/2008

Green Valley Animal Hospital staff are friendly, caring, patient, loving to the animals and very thorough. We chose them when we moved to Frederick. They were great with routine care. Spending lots of time with the animals. They never seemed rushed even though they were always busy.\r \r They helped us tremendously when our little dog got sick. They supported our decisions and explained everything to us. When our little Mo went to heaven they sent us the most caring note. It meant so much to us not to just be a customer but part of the their business's family. more

Excellent service 11/12/2008

I've always had good experiences with this business. A few times when I've had evening appointments, I've had to wait quite a while. Daytime appointments are much better, if you can swing it. The staff has always taken great care of our animals and shown great concern for them. They were so supportive when our cat was diagnosed with cancer and when we eventually lost him. I'll never forget how kind they were to me during such a stressful time. more

Excellent pet care! 11/12/2008

I have taken all of my animals to the Green Valley Animal Hospital. The vet, technicians and receptionists are excellent! They listen to my concerns and have always provided the best care for my pets. When I lost my cat due to an unfortunate health issue they were sympathetic and caring. more
