Review content:
I had a short, 5 hour move and they were very accomodating about making it all happen on one day. The All State person I spoke with about the quote was a real salesperson and was very pleasant to work with. The movers were clean, professional, and I felt completely safe working with them as a single young woman. All my belongings arrived without damage. 2 small points - 1) the salesperson repeatedly said that she was overestimating how much weight I would be moving, however, she managed to underestimate by 30% even though I had driven up 2 carloads of boxes myself that I had not told her I would be doing. I don't think I have all that much stuff, so I don't think I was atypical. Looking at other reviews, this low ball estimating seems common. 2) Before signing up, I asked if they had their own trucks or if they hire out other companies and the saleslady gave me the complete run-around. In retrospect, she didn't actually lie, but she managed to make it sound like they employed the drivers and owned the trucks. She should have been more straightforward in saying they are moving brokers.
