We were given room 106. It couldn't have been more perfect. The beautiful vaulted ceiling made the room feel larger. Because it was on the end of the building, it had two nice windows. Being able to park right outside our door was extra convenient. \r \r Though the building has possibly been there a long time, it's very clean and beautifully decorated. All of the typical goodies (including a shower cap which many motels don't include) were replenished each day. The service was professional, friendly and helpful.\r \r The business event we were attending was at the fair grounds, less than 2 miles away. It was easy to come and go any time of the day or night.\r \r I don't know what the other rooms were like, but we loved our room. Oh.. and the internet was the fastest I'd ever experienced. (we can't get DSL where we live.. so this was a treat)\r \r The breakfast was 'continental'.. but very adequate with a good selection. We would definitely stay there again if/when in the San Jose area.\r \r oh - Instead of getting a pizza for dinner, about 1 mile south on Monterey Hwy, you'll find Toni Di Maggio's Pizza. The Stromboli is probably the best on the planet. (and it helps support the small local businesses)
