I don't have anything to compare it to, but I felt the prices were high at Hayward Auto Care. It seemed the hourly rate for labor was exorbitant. They were recommended to me by the place I go for my tires. I needed my car smogged, but I couldn't get it done because my check engine light was on.
They told me part of my intake was clogged. An assembly inside the intake was no longer functioning, and they had to replace it. Once it was fixed, I had to run my car for two to five days to make sure the computer reset. I went back again and got my smog done.
Just be aware of the prices out there. It's hard to make an decision if you don't know if you're being charged a higher rate than normal for the hourly labor.
