I will never again use this hospital's ER...not only did not miss the pneumonia in my daughters lungs, but the phlebotomist would not take her blood for a test. Good thing we have a great pediatrician who spotted it the next day...
I have heard numerous horror stories about the CyFair ER, but this time I experienced it first hand. A 106 degree fever is nothing to take lightly, and the staff should know how to care for children, including taking their blood. Her white counts were out the roof, and they did not even check...just released us with some antibiotics and "we think its just a virus"...HAH...Bacterial pneumonia with an air bubble in her lung is more like it...
