My husband and I have driven past this place on the way to Black Oak Casino at least a hundred times and wondered about it. We looked it up on the internet and thought we would give it a try. The owner, Valerie, was extremely accommodating and allowed us to come up on a Sunday night. When we made the reservation, we were not aware of the type of place we were going to. It has the charm of a Bed & Breakfast - but it really is a Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were treated as friends not as guests. True, they do not take credit cards: is that so bad? It is not a hotel or motel, it is an experience that went beyond our expectations. We had full use of all the amenities, including the pool, hot tub and swim spa all night long if we wanted. We played pool late into the night without a worry about having the music up in the pool cabana. We relaxed like we have never been able to at any other hotel. In the morning, the owner (Valerie) had made us breakfast and we had a romantic breakfast by the poolside. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place. We got lucky; they mostly do group events - family reunions, weddings and such, so allowing us to stay without having a big party was so gracious. Thank you, Val and Ron for the wonderful time!! We will be back - with our friends!!
