Review content:
BEWARE Roberts Towing! This company is absolutely parasitic. They lurk near the properties they monitor and will essentially boost your car quicker than any carjackers could dream. On a Sunday morning in March 2014, my fiance and I parked in a small lot next to ""Unleashed,"" the small PETCO outlet on Harvard Ave in Brighton and ran in for no more than 5 minutes to pick up cat food. When we came out, our car was gone. The lot is the site of an abandoned bank. We had parked off to the side, so we would not block anyone's way. I called Roberts who does have a sign there and they informed me that my car was in their possession and that I would have to come to their lot with $131(tow, storage, & some other fee) to retrieve it.\r
I was lambasted by their receptionist as someone who fails to respect private property. The truth is - while they may be covered by law, they bend it to fit their predatory business model. They are owned by the same company that owns Fries Towing and they have a location in Newton as well as Brighton. They are virtual criminals, if not criminals under the law.\r
