Review content:
I was hit by a driver in February 2014 he admitted fault and his insurance company offered to pay full price for all repairs. Due to this, I decided to choose the very best mechanic shop and I did not care about how much it would cost. I chose Clear Lake Body Shop because I thought they would do a good job however, I will NEVER return to this shop again. I let the first mistake go, they were supposed to send over all the reports to USAA insurance which they failed to upload the documents correctly. I had to call them about 5 times and call USAA to get it all sorted out. I then had to wait another week for the documents to upload fully and the claim to be approved. After everything was settled I waited a month for my car to be fixed. I was not called by repair shop to be told my car was finished, I had to call and call each day to check the status. At one point I drove down to the body shop to check on my car and when the front desk girl walked me out to my car to get my parking pass out of it I noticed it was just open, unlocked in a field of other cars. I was worried but I let them continue to work on it. When I returned to finally pick up my finished car I noticed the glove compartment was all scratched up with deep scratches. I immediately asked for the manager named Rob at the shop to take a look at the car. He was not cooperative in looking at the car, he only wanted to see it for about one glance. He instantly blamed me for all damage and claimed it was my backpack that scratched the car. He then continued to tell me that I needed to explain to him how this damage happened, however, I have never worked on a car I was not sure how this could have happened in his shop? So, he went on to argue with me for 30 minutes claiming it was all my fault and he was not going to help me. He had no explanation for the damage to my car, he gave no solution, he made personal attacks on my character and tried to build up his credentials through threatening me. I will never return to this shop. \r I will not accept this horrible customer service and do not think any consumer should. This was my first experience at this shop. Besides having scratches all over my interior of my car I noticed my car had been driven, the mileage was up, all of the mirrors changed, my gas tank was on empty to the point where I had literally 8 miles left on it till complete E when I left.
