Review content:
Make no mistake about it. This not the same clinic it was when Dr. Hecht owned the practice. It's been some time since I've seen a licensed business so unorganized and unprofessional. If you're seeking a good vet with a professional code of conduct who is about his or her business, I suggest you look further than Hecht Veterinary Clinic. Here is my experience with them:I was 1st introduced to Dr. Hecht around 1998 by my cousin, Rick Curl, who is a personal acquaintance of the Dr. My dogs and I frequented his practice for years with never a problem. Years have passed and during that time I moved away and returned. I know Dr. Hecht retired to Florida, so I was a bit surprised, but glad to see the clinic was still open.Tuesday march 12th I took a puppy to Hecht Veterinary to get a rabies shot and a health certificate with certificate of acclimation to send a puppy to California. all went well.Thursday March 28th I called Hecht Veterinary Hosp[ital to find out how much the veterinary costs would be to send a puppy to Hawaii. I submitted the appropriate information regarding this endeavor via e-mail, and received an e-mail back, from Megan Downing, asking the pup's age and informing me that they would contact me Monday on Tuesday with an answer to my question.Monday March 31st I called the office to politely explain that the prospective buyer had been calling me all weekend and needs to know (as soon as possible)how much the they will charge as this is the last bit of information he needed to help make a determination as to weather he could afford to import the puppy. I was told somebody would get in contact with me that day. That day came and went...as did Tuesday.Wednesday April 2nd I called the the vet again to inquire as to what happened. I also called Ponca City Veterinary Vospital to speak with Marc Campbell, the owner of Hecht Veterinary Hospital. Only after that, about 2 hours later, did I ever receive a call back from Hecht Vet.Fortunately, I didn't wait around on Megan Downing and the vets at Hecht. I found a PROFESSIONAL clinic that answered my questions and desired my business. As every vet in Oklahoma should know veterinarians in Oklahoma are a dime a dozen.
