Review content:
Our Eastside Athens townhouse could have used an HVAC upgrade when we bought it 5 yrs ago, but we limped along until this fall when the furnace simply gave up the ghost. We decided to replace the entire unit, upgrade to a zoned system, have all ductwork sealed and insulated and a media air filter installed. Nice bit of kit.\r

Called several companies, 4 came out, 2 gave quotes, both on Trane equipment. Once the models/capacity were identical, Jordan Air was the high bidder, but not by much. \r

The decision pivoted on a lot of little things. The sales engineer made and kept a Saturday appointment. He ran a heat load calculation showing the impact of the duct sealing/insulation and based his system recommendation on the results. SEER calculations were based on the overall system configuration rather than boiler plate specs. He recommended infiltration control, including some DIY tasks, to further improve efficiency. 10 year warranty on parts and labor, and no payment until the job was
