Review content:
I fully support the review of the other person on this non-functional 1940's water department in Galveston city. It has been 2 years we left Galveston leaving our house vacant and on sale. Due to IKE or bad economy of UTMB (who laid off 3000 emplyees after IKE) we have failed to sell yet our 2 storied beautiful house, though it was not flooded and located in the best neighborhood. We requested water dept. to consider our water bill who charges full amount bill (about $55 t0 $60) every month since last two years though not a single drop of water is being used in our house nor a bit of trash is being picked up by the city from our house. But they rudely told us there will be no consideration. We do not know for how long we have to keep paying the monthly water bill (until the house will be sold) for no service taken. Who do we appeal, BBB or Public Utility Comission of Texas? Pros: Inconsiderate Cons: Charges full bill even though the house is vacant for 2 yrs.
