Here's my story..\r
Brought my 2001 325i to Autohaus Bayern in June 2013 for a noise in the engine area..Well, $1200 later they said my motor mounts were loose + my radiator and ALL the hoses needed to be replaced asap and especially in this hot weather my car won't survive. Ok, so I trusted his evaluation and opionion. Had it done like I said $1200 later.\r
Later on my low coolant light poped up. I purchase some coolant, my husband fills it and said the booble wasn't even up to the top level. Mean while they insist they fill and top everything off for you. NOT.\r
My oil light was on and asked Darby why, Darby said it would reset when you get an oil change. I got an oil change from them at the sum of $115 (fyi portland bmw is only $89) the light was STILL on, so he forgot to check the sensor for the oil light AND they never even reset the oil data information so I could know when to have it changed again. \r
Darby said I needed an alignment, but to get tires first, ok then. I looked at all my paper work for the bmw from the prior owner to see what size tires he purchased only to find out a year and half ago of Autohaus replacing ALL my radiator, hoses etc. the previous owner had already done ALL of that!! I was mad and called Darby and asked why, he said well how much was their radiator..like that matters and it was only a few dollars less then his anyway! He gave me some cockeyed answer and we hung up. He called me back to tell me he made a note on what the diaognosis was and asked how many miles were on the car...REALLY, Darby! You didn't even make a note of how many miles are on my car, let alone the diagnosis! And I thought that was just standard procedure! Wow.\r
So case and point, they don't know what their doing most of the time! I won't ever go back or refer another sole and I will tell my story to who ever will listen. I don't take advantage of anyone and I certainly don't want to be!\r
