I was on the market for a 9mm Carbine for my wife for home defense purposes. I have shopped and purchased all our firearms at Chesters' in Ronkonkoma, but decided to give this place a try. Every review posted in this forum is correct - these folks are not knowledgeable and extremely rude. During the purchase of the Carbine I chose, the gentleman ran my credit card prior to filling out and reviewing my ATF form (which is not a correct process). So AFTER they ran my credit card, then they (Mike the owner) scrutinized my license and ATF form to the point I thought they were questioning my credibility. Not only was I in my business attire (a suit as I am an executive with Southside Hospital) but I was respectful and well spoken. I got so frustrated I asked to cancel the transaction. They then had the nerve to say that there was a $30 ""stocking fee"" which they could not refund!!!! I was so fed up with their down right ill mannerisms, I said that I didn't care. I then left and went to Chesters in Ronkonkoma. Which as always proceed to treat me with respect and are just a wonderful friendly group of folks and purchased the same Carbine that same day (for a bit of a higher price - but did not mind at all). I AM A 10 YEAR MARINE CORPS VETERAN; therefore as for the earlier comment from another reviewer about ""sensitive people"", I am not used to being ""cuddled"" by anyone around firearms. The customer service is down right horrible in this place! As my experience was so bad, I will never return.
