My brother has terminal cancer, and is heavily medicated. He, his wife who devotedly cares for him, and their little girl scrape by on a very limited income.
When his furnace needed repair, the LimRic technician checked it out and told him $462.00 to replace a heat strip. With Christmas coming, my sister and I called LimRic to pay the bill. The lady we spoke with told both of us the bill wouldn't run over that amount.
Yesterday, the technician charged him an EXTRA $456.00 and change, claiming that he also had to install a new blower motor. He had to take money from his little girl's savings account to write a check.
For $918.00, we could have had a BRAND NEW furnace installed.
I think there's a special place in $@!#% for those who would steal from a dying man. You folks should be ashamed. Oh, gee, we're about to celebrate Christmas, give yourselves a bonus now!
