While we have had a good experience with Dr. Kunitake, the management on the optometry side of this store is ingracious, self-serving, and intractable. Three members of my family have spent big bucks there for eye exams, contacts and frames in the past. When my daughter wanted to switch to contacts I brought her back there. After the optometrist on duty said she only needed to have a check-up for contacts because it had been less than a year since her last exam, the management insisted she must have a full exam for twice the $$$$. However, the contacts exam was already completed by the optometrist who said her prescription had not changed and that the fitting was fine. Still the management insisted she have a full exam even though it was just eight months since her last one. When I said we would return for the full exam when it had been one year, the guy behind the counter again insisted even though the optometrist had said in the exam room that it was not necessary.
