Review content:
I'm torn on this review. I think their work is good. They are usually timely in getting the work done and I like the guys. BUT (there had to be a but), their part prices are EXTREMELY expensive. They do use decent parts, not rebuilds like you might get at another shop, which is good. Take the most expensive part at Any auto parts store or on line then add a hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars and you will have their part prices. I called another respected Saab shop and they quoted a much lower price for an equal part. Don't know if it is their supplier or their markup, doesn't matter. I like them but at these prices I will find another shop for my two Saabs. RESPONSE FROM Precision Import Service: Thanks for bringing your car to us Dan we appreciate the opportunity that you gave us. We use "Factory" ignition parts in most cars that we service. I could have sold you any number of ignition cassettes for your car, but we have been down that road before. A Factory replacement cassette for your car runs about $650.00. We sold the cassette to you for $550.00. We could have gotten one from Beck/Arnley just like the one we took out of your car. That unit was shorted out and appeared to have been a rebuilt unit. It also caused the main fuse to blow to the ECU. We did not want to use that type of part for your repair, we want the repair to last. We could have gotten a casstte for as little as $179.00, but that is not how we do things. When it comes to ignition systems, brakes and even using the right kind of oil in a car, that is what our shop is about. Fixing it right and giving a good warranty that we stand by. I am sorry that your experience with us was not satisfactory, that is not what any of us inteneded. Just remember if you have any troubles with the ignition and it is the casstte, we warranty it for 2 years 24k and we will stand behind that warranty. Thanks again for the oppritunity to service your car, we really appreciate it. Steve Wynkoop Owner/Service advisor Precision Import Service
