We absolutely love the Grand Lodge and go there quite a few times each year wiht the kids. However, as much as we like the place for the atmosphere, I am so disappointed that there service and food is consistently terrible.\r

We went again last night for dinner. The drinks were fine but the boys and my wife had cheeseburgers that were like leather. and I had prime rib that was comparable to that at Home Town Buffet (Literally).\r

I mean this was AWFUL and even though I ordered the smaller portion, I didnt come close to finishing it and I left still hungry.\r

Furthermore, although our waitress was very nice, the service was terribly slow. My kids literally wanted to leave long before our food arrived. It took about 30+ minutes to get our food.\r

Although I cant say we wont be back (we will), I honestly wish they'd improve the food and the service.\r
\r
PLEASE McMenamins......Make the place achieve it's potential. What a wonderful property it's such a shame to ruin it with crappy execution.
Pros: beautiful property and fun for kids especially in summer
Cons: Absolutely terrible food and service
