Mr. Rooter charged my 90 year old mother-in-law, who lives by herself, $798 to clear a clog in her sewer, which took them 45 minutes to do. They claimed that because it was a "soft clog" made up of toilet paper, they had to use a water jet to free the blockage, instead of a snake, and this added several hundred dollars to the cost. The previous year, my mother-in-law had used a different plumber to clear the same kind of blockage and was charged only $247 for this service. In my opinion, Mr. Rooter is completely unethical and took advantage of a confused senior citizen. Use them at your own peril. I have given them 1 star, because the web site I am writing this review on will not allow me to submit the review without entering at least one star. Mr. Rooter deserves zero stars in my opinion.
