Review content:
The property is in a great location and has a great view of the harbor. \r Pros: The pools are acceptable one on each side of the property, especially the kid’s pool. Also on Saturday nights they have movie night for the kids where they have candy drinks and popcorn for the kids. You can use the internet to print your airline boarding pass. \r Cons: A large public park is in front of the property, every view out of your hotel window is of the large family cookouts on picnic tables, people throwing the Frisbee, laying out in the grass, loud music, grilling, and piles of trash. \r Our rooms 308 and 309 had a sewer smell coming from the bathroom, which we later found backed up into the bathtubs. They had to come in to our room one night because the 1st floor rooms were flooding due to issues in our room (11pm). \r They did remodel but it looks more like paint and furniture, the building and plumbing are old and need repair. The hotel did refund the points I used for one of the rooms but for some reason didn’t want to refund the points for my other room. \r I called the General Manager, Jim Samuels, three times and he never returned my calls. He sent me his assistant Felix, who had no authority to compensate us for this stay. Still waiting for a return call. \r The hotel staff overall is very stale, untrained, unprofessional, confused and cold. The only person with personality was James in the valet. \r This is a marginal hotel with a marginal staff. It is a reflection of the GM, Jim Samuels, who does not empower his employees to make decisions. He does not care enough to come out of his office and face the problems on his own. He seems like a rookie at managing hotels. This hotel lacks class and an exclusive feel for its location. \r Expect to pay for internet. The fitness center is average and typical of other Marriott properties.
