Review content:
We went with Deseret First because this is our credit union, so assumed the process would be easy and payments would be simplified. We began our loan process end of March. Returned all the paperwork within a week. We were approved quickly. It is now almost August and we STILL HAVE NOT CLOSED! Our loan agent, Ben, is horrible at communication. After repeated phone calls to him, he will eventually call back to say just to say the loan is still on track. Would have (SHOULD HAVE) gone to another lender, but missed a great interest rate while waiting for Deseret First to finalize. Eventually had to get the manager involved, which didn't help much. Credit union would not give us manager's direct contact information, so contacting him was pure luck (and a whole lot of persistence on my husband's part). Save yourself the time, headache, and a whole lot of money--go somewhere else.
