Don't go here!!!! I rented a U-Haul van from Heltons last month. I was told to ""fill it up"" when I brought the van back. I only drove the van 45 miles but when I brought it back I stopped at the gas station right next door to them and filled it up ($18.37). It was a Saturday night so they were closed when I brought it back so I parked it in the parking lot, locked the doors, and put the key in the night deposit. Monday morning while I was in a meeting at work they called and left me a message telling me that since I did not fill it up they would charge me a $30 fee and then $5.00 a gallon. Then they told me I hour exactly one hour to call them back to dispute it. Well my meeting lasted two hours and sure enough they charged me another $67.00 on top of what I had already paid. When I called back to explain that I did fill up the gas tank they were unfriendly and unhelpful. Shelly said in a very condescending tone, ""I will check into it Hun"". I asked her to call me back which she never did and I called again a few days later and she said she hasn't had time to check into yet. I asked her to call me back again and of course she didn't. I feel like they just ripped me off. The truck was full of gas and I did exactly what they asked me to and then they treat me like they don't even appreciate my business. I will never step foot on the property again and will tell everyone I know not to.
