I would first like to start by saying that this review is looong overdue. I have been a customer of Magena since April 2012. The story began when I was relocating from DC to NYC and looking for a stylist to cut my hair. You would think that NYC would have the most amazing stylists, especially in Harlem, WRONG!!!! After finding someone in NYC to cut my hair and finally ending up with the 1985 Salt&Pepa messed up haircut, I was at a crossroads. I came home to visit my family in Conroe and started researching stylists that could cut amazing styles. After researching for what seemed like an eternity all over Houston and surrounding area, I finally found Magnena. Now, for her review. Magnena is the most AMAZING stylist ever in life. She not only cuts African-American hair, but she is skilled to where she cuts hair of ALL races. Pretty amazing stuff, because this is by no means easy. She is actually the only stylist that I have ever come across with this talent. For over a year now since finding Magnena, I am constantly stopped on more than one occasion literally EVERYDAY by someone wanting me to just stop so they can admire the haircut or pay a compliment in passing. You know that you are talented when other stylists approach you and compliment YOUR stylist. Happy with my new found Magnena, the dilemma came when I started traveling back and forth between New York and Texas just to get my hair cut and styled. Fast forward to now. I ended up moving from NYC to Houston (for family and love) and glad to know that Magnena was here to style my hair, which significantly helped in my transition back to TX. Anyone that has moved knows the hassle and trial and error that comes with locating a new stylist. Thanks, Magnena.
