Where to go in a town you don't know? The answer in Corvallis is ""Big River"". Vary diverse, interesting menu with many interesting combinations of ingredients and probably the best ""home baked"" breads in Oregon. The staff was attentive and knowledgable, the prices are great and although the crowd is large they keep things moving without giving you a feeling of being rushed. I had the 1/2 Rueben sandwich with a small Caesar salad, the Rueben was worth of a Manhattan deli and the salad was crisp, flavorful and had thin, crispy croutons made from the previously mentioned best bread in the state. If you're in Corvallis don't miss it for lunch or dinner. As a matter of fact if you're NOT in Corvallis, go there. You won't be disappointed. Pros: centrally located, lots of parking, exceptional menu
